Jack and Pat Chambers created Taos Concierge in response to a need
they first saw in Florida. Before they came to New Mexico, Jack and
Pat managed several motels in a seaside town south of Daytona Beach
where they saw the annual invasion of mega events that attracted thousands
of NASCAR fans, thousands more motorcycle enthusiasts and, of course,
Spring Breakers.
They learned to keep track of restaurants for a variety of budgets
and to provide directions to all of the sideline events that catered
to the Daytona bound tourists.
When they moved to Taos, Jack and Pat – natural born explorers
– wandered through New Mexico, constantly asking the locals about
out-of-the-way places of interest in the Enchanted Circle. They found
that Taos is famous for world-class ski resorts, hiking and white water
rafting and it has been a haven for artists of every description since
the late 1890s.
They learned that the Southwest, especially Taos, is a much more subtle
place for travelers. Tourists planning a trip to Taos might be interested
in the best place to hunt Elk, the best fly fishing spot or a guided
hike to top of Wheeler Peak.
Northern New Mexico draws travelers from all over the world for many
different reasons. The same sights that drew artists like Georgia O’Keeffe
to New Mexico draw travelers today -- the authentic West and skies that
defy description.
